The Ministry for Gozo promulgates the sustainable development of the islands of Gozo and Comino. This responsibility is entrusted to the Permanent Secretary and the respective Divisions and Directorates under the Ministry’s remit. The Office of the Permanent Secretary provides support and advice on policy issues and recommends appropriate courses of actions that will enable the Ministry for Gozo to deliver the public administration objectives.

The Permanent Secretary ensures the effective and efficient management of the respective Divisions and Directorates and Entities that form part of the Ministry’s portfolio. The Permanent Secretary is also responsible to ascertain that allocated public finances are effectively utilized. Furthermore, he ensues that the Ministry for Gozo is adequately represented and actively participates in European Union and international fora.  This Office endeavours to identify and seek to maximize EU funding opportunities that are provided by the European Union’s cohesion policy
