This Office provides notarial services to Government Departments and Entities with regards to the publication, preservation and custody of notarial acts.
This office also offers a service to members of the public wishing to inspect any deed published by notaries practising in Gozo from the eighteenth century to date and to order a copy thereof. This office is also a useful source of reference material to researchers and scholars.
Members of the public can come to the office to view any public deed from the year 1640 up to the present day. They can ask for a copy of a deed. To provide such a copy we need the name of the notary and the date the deed was done. In case of a will, we need the death certificate of the testator, the date of the will and the name of the notary at whom it was drawn up.
