About the Pavilion
Spanning over 5,000 m² across three terraced levels in Victoria, the Gozo Indoor Sports & Aquatic Pavilion stands as the island’s premier all-in-one sports facility.

At the heart of the complex is a 10-lane, 50 × 25 metre Olympic-standard pool, featuring FINA-certified infrastructure and ample spectator seating. Adjacent to it is a sprung-floor multi-sport arena, which seamlessly transforms from a full-size basketball court (700 seats) to accommodate volleyball, handball, and other court-based games.

The Pavilion also houses a dedicated double-height gymnastics training hall, while the main arena is fully equipped to host international gymnastics competitions with seating for over 700 spectators. Additional facilities include three championship-grade glass-back squash courts, a multi-storey climbing wall, specialised fitness training zones, and dedicated yoga and dance studios. A versatile multi-purpose hall of over 250 m² complements these offerings, alongside a sports recovery suite featuring a steam room, sauna, and ice room. Outdoors, the complex includes multi-use courts and a paddle pitch.

The Pavilion’s limestone-and-glass façade maximises natural daylight, while integrated natural ventilation and high-efficiency climate control systems ensure sustainable energy performance. Designed with flexibility in mind, the facility caters to school schedules, community clubs, and international training camps — positioning Gozo as a hub for everything from daily physical education to elite-level competition and sports tourism.
