The Social Work Unit in Gozo provides generic social work services. This entails offering professional help and assistance to different client groups coming from different backgrounds, who form part of our community. The unit also liaises with other agencies and non-governmental organizations as required.

Services

– Assessing the clients’ individual and personal situation and together with the clients a care plan is formulated to improve the clients’     situation.

– Provision of an On Call 24-hour service in case of emergency after office hours.

– Assisting police authorities in social cases within the community.

– Monitoring of court cases as decreed by court.

– Assisting court authorities by carrying out social work assessments and/or giving recommendations.

– Performing supervised access visits and surprise home visits as decreed by a competent court.
