The Trade Office provides services related to Trade Licences, Import Licences, Export Licences, and all other services offered at the Commerce Department in Malta. This office also offers services regarding Malta Business Registry.

Trade Licences

The Government’s commitment to facilitate business activities in Malta has concretely been actioned through the removal of trade licences for several business activities as of 1st January 2017. Therefore, general traders no longer require trading licences.

Import and Export

Businesses that are planning to import or export items such as, raw materials, goods and machinery or semi-finished goods, will require to obtain an Import or Export Licence before they can proceed with the import or export activities.
